Case report: A fractured ankle
Patient: Patient is a 65-year-old woman with a diagnosed fractura trimalleolaris l.dx. The 
complex fracture involves a lot of fixation material as well. The ankle is swollen 
and stiff, and the patient has had pain. The patient has been receiving manual 
lymphatic drainage therapy to the condition.
Methods: The treatments involving the use of the LymphaTouch device were started 
according to the principles of manual lymphatic drainage, and the treatment had 
then been continued from the knee downwards using the LymphaTouch. Both 
continuous and pulsating treatment modes were used. Compression bandaging 
and stockings were also applied. 
Results: The swelling in the ankle was removed after the third treatment session with the 
LymphaTouch.
